|Antique (Circa 1900) French gentleman’s double sided pocket / travelling Barometer with compass and thermometer. The case of the Barometer is made from metal and brass in colour. The dial to the barometer is silver in colour with black markings and a blued steel pointer, the compass side is black in colour with gold coloured markings for the thermometer and silver and black for the compass. It has a carrying ring to the top and a rotating bezel which turns nice and smoothly and is marked from 0 to 10000 feet and 21 to 31 of pressure. To the side is a small adjusting screw for the barometer and also a cut-out for a lever to hold the compass needle when not being used, this lever is missing so for this reason I am selling this barometer as is. The barometer is in good working order and has passed the plastic bag test, the compass works well on a lever surface with the thermometer also working well These delightful travelling pocket Barometers are very interesting and are getting harder and harder to find !!! On the dial is marked Rain Change Fair, Aneroid Barometer.This wonderful pocket Barometer is in good used condition and in good working order. The dial is clean and clear with good clear markings. The case is clean and bright and in good used condition and free from any dings or dents. The dial glass is clean and clear and free from any chips or cracks. The Barometer is 44mm in diameter. It comes supplied in its original travelling cased as in the photos in used condition Please note the button on the case is missing.
